We believe clients should understand how legal fees are calculated from the outset. Before commencing work, we provide a clear estimate of costs based on the nature and complexity of your matter.
Fixed Fee Availability
Where the scope of work is clearly defined, we may offer fixed fees for services such as straightforward wills, residential conveyancing, and settlement agreement reviews.
Hourly Rates
For more complex matters, we typically charge on an hourly basis. Indicative hourly rates range from £200 to £450 plus VAT, depending on the seniority of the solicitor handling your matter.
What May Affect Cost
The cost of legal services depends on factors including complexity, documentation, court proceedings, and urgency. We will keep you informed if circumstances change.
VAT
All fees quoted are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%) unless otherwise stated. VAT will be itemised separately on your invoice.
Disbursements
Disbursements are third-party costs incurred on your behalf, such as court fees, search fees, and Land Registry fees. These are charged at cost and are separate from our professional fees.
